Vacation in Washington, D.C.!

Coda - Orlando

The week after our vacation, I attended a programmer's conference in Orlando. Charlaine flew over for a day, and that evening we went over to Disney's World's Paradise Island. (Note the badge around Charlaine's neck and the band on her wrist that indicate she's with the conference.)

There was a '70s disco band performing on an outside stage (the whole place seemed aimed at the 40-and-up crowd). I was impressed that our little pocket camera was able to take these photos. It lacks many of the features that I was used to when I was a photographer, but for $70 (last month at K-Mart) the Canon Elph is a camera I can unequivically recommend.

We also visited the "Jazz" club, which had a small big band (five guys playing Dorsey-style) that night. We didn't stay too long.
